In a brilliant example of savory meets strategy, the team at XO recently pulled off a memorable and delectable launch. A Tesla Cybertruck cruised the streets of Los Angeles stacked with 200 boxes of piping hot pizza. But this was no ordinary pizza delivery. Instead, it was a buzz-inducing event conceived by members of the XO Team Gary Grey, Maddie Joy, and Mary Senn to generate excitement about their new cryptocurrency coin, Peperon.

From their humble beginnings as vloggers to their meteoric rise with their music label, XO Music Label, founders Gary and Mary have always been in the spotlight. On April 3, 2020, they leaped content creation by establishing the XO Team, a diverse Eastern European group that includes creators, producers, actors, and musicians. This team has swiftly amassed a massive following, boasting 11.4 million YouTube subscribers and 39 million TikTok followers.

The XO Team’s latest endeavor, the Peperon meme coin, was not just a random launch. It was a strategic move, symbolically timed to coincide with Bitcoin Pizza Day. This day holds a special place in cryptocurrency history as it marks the first-ever use of Bitcoin to purchase two pizzas in 2010.

As an homage to that historic day, the Cybertruck’s journey started at David Dobrik’s Doughbrik’s Pizza, where the XO Team placed a record-breaking $4,000 order—the largest in the restaurant’s history. From there, the Cybertruck traveled through the iconic neighborhoods of Los Angeles, including Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood.

At each stop, the XO Team didn’t just distribute pizza. They engaged with the crowd, sharing their vision of a future where digital currency is seamlessly integrated into everyday transactions. Clad in Peperon-branded gear, they passionately described the potential and promise of their new cryptocurrency, creating an atmosphere of excitement and curiosity.

The day’s impact served several purposes. The XO Team fed hundreds of delighted Angelenos (including the homeless) and planted seeds of curiosity and interest in the Peperon coin. They created a memorable narrative that resonated with a diverse audience by linking the tangible joy of eating pizza with the intangible nature of digital currency.

As the sun set in Los Angeles and the last slice of pizza was handed out, Gary and Mary, along with their XO Team, once again proved their ability to innovate and captivate. With each new venture, whether in music, television, or cryptocurrency, they continue redefining the boundaries of creativity and engagement.

The team’s actions on that day represented a living, breathing demonstration of their vision—to participate in the digital revolution but lead the digital revolution; they executed their strategy, making complex concepts like cryptocurrency accessible and engaging through relatable and enjoyable experiences.

In cryptocurrencies and digital innovation, people still determine what creative project or event will pop up next. But one thing’s for sure: the XO Team’s blend of generosity, innovation, and community engagement has set a new standard for what a group of creative minds can achieve when they come together. And just maybe, the next time someone orders pizza, it will be paid for using the Peperon coin.
