Suspect at Large after Fatal Pedestrian Collision near Bachman Lake

DALLAS, TX (June 27th, 2024) – One woman died early Friday morning, in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash at the 2800 block of West Northwest Highway.

Police arrived to the scene shortly after 2:20 a.m., near the Bachman Lake and Love Field area on June 7th.

Officers say a man and a woman were crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk when an eastbound vehicle struck the woman and fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting police.

Upon arrival, first responders found the woman lying on the roadway with no signs of life. Due to the severity of her injuries, medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, authorities released a description of the vehicle as a white Dodge Challenger with no license plate.

The investigation is ongoing, and witnesses are urged to contact local officers as soon as possible. More details will be provided once available.
