Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead after Speeding Collision near Seawall Boulevard

GALVESTON, TX (July 2nd, 2024) – One rider died late Sunday afternoon, in a motorcycle crash on 33rd Street and Seawall Boulevard.

The incident occurred at approximately 5:10 p.m., on June 23rd.

Officers say a motorcyclist was speeding in the westbound lanes of Seawall Boulevard when they collided with a vehicle turning onto Seawall from 33rd Street.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene, though authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.

Emergency crews closed the intersection for several hours during the clearing operations.

After initial investigations, no charges or arrests were made. Currently, an active investigation is underway to gather more information. Further details will be provided once available.
