57-Year-Old Rider Pronounced Dead after DUI Motorcycle Accident on Broadway Road

PHOENIX, AZ (May 14, 2024)Mark Adams died early Thursday morning, and Guadalupe Alvarez was arrested after a DUI motorcycle crash on East 21st Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m., near Broadway Road on May 2nd.

Per reports, Alvarez was driving a vehicle when she made a U-turn in front of a motorcyclist, leading to a collision at the intersection.

Emergency responders arrived to find the rider, Adams, critically injured. Paramedics rushed him to a local hospital for treatment, but 57-year-old Adams later succumbed to his injuries.

The suspect, Guadalupe Lopez Lopez Alvarez, remained at the scene. After conducting preliminary assessments, police found that she had drugs in her system. Consequently, 43-year-old Alvarez was arrested and charged with one count of manslaughter.
