22-Year-Old Man Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on 6th Parkway

SACRAMENTO, CA (August 8, 2022) – Early Thursday morning, a 22-year-old man was fatally injured in a semi-truck collision on Florin Road.

The accident occurred around 5:00 a.m., at the intersection of Florin Road and 6th Parkway on July 28th. Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

For reasons unknown, an eastbound Toyota Camry struck the rear of a semi-truck as it was making a U-turn onto 6th Parkway.

Due to the impact of the collision, medical personnel pronounced the 22-year-old driver of the Toyota dead at the scene. Although, authorities withheld the victim’s identity until notification of next of kin.

Officers closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.

At this time, no further details about the semi-truck collision on Florin Road have been provided.
