Unidentified Male Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Accident near Polin Springs Trail Northeast
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (June 20, 2024) – One man was killed late Sunday night in May, in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Chico Road Northeast.
The incident occurred at approximately 10:00 p.m., near Polin Springs Trail Northeast on May 19th.
Investigators say a dark-colored SUV struck a man who was standing in the roadway. After the impact, the driver fled the scene without offering aid or contacting authorities.
When authorities arrived, they found the man lying unconscious on the roadway. Medical personnel later pronounced him dead at the scene. Police have not yet released his name or place of residence.
Emergency crews temporarily closed off the surrounding area for cleanup and preliminary investigations.
