One Killed after Head-On Collision near Bridge Street

MORENO VALLEY, CA (September 11, 2023) – Sunday evening, one man was killed and multiple were hurt in a head-on crash on Gilman Springs Road.

Police responded to the scene around 9:15 p.m., 36000 block of Gilman Springs Road, just east of Bridge Street on August 27th.

According to reports, a man driving a 2011 Kia Forte was traveling north on Gilman Springs when, for an unspecified reason, the driver crossed over the dual highway into southbound lanes.

Meanwhile, a 2016 Nissan Quest minivan was traveling southbound at the same place, and the 48-year-old driver struck the Kia before she could swerve.

First responders arrived and pronounced the Kia driver dead at the scene. Others were injured but are already in a stable condition. However, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Moreover, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

At this time, police have not yet released the identities of those involved. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal head-on crash on Gilmar Springs Road.
