One Pronounced Dead after High-Speed Collision near 32nd Street

SEATAC, WA (July 2nd, 2024) – One person died Friday night, and three sustained serious injuries in a high-speed collision on South 200th and 32nd Street.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:50 p.m., on June 21st.

Investigators say a white Honda that was traveling west collided with a green and black Chevrolet Malibu heading north on 32nd Street. The collision caused one of the vehicles to overturn.

Emergency crews arrived and extricated a trapped victim from the overturned vehicle. Paramedics transported four occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment, with three victims suffering life-threatening injuries.

One of the victims later succumbed to their injuries at the hospital, though authorities have not yet released their identity. After being released from the hospital, one of the drivers was booked into the King County Jail.

Following preliminary duties, both vehicles were impounded for further inspection. Investigators temporarily blocked the roadway, which was reopened by 8:00 p.m.
