One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Avenue I

LANCASTER, CA (June 26, 2024) – One person was killed early Tuesday morning, in pedestrian accident on 15th Street East and Avenue I.

The incident occurred at approximately 2:00 a.m., near Avenue I on June 25th. Officers say a sedan that was heading west hit a pedestrian who was walking along the bicycle lane.

Despite life-saving efforts, first responders pronounced the involved pedestrian deceased. However, their name and place of residency has not been released. During clearing operations, police officers are working to determine if speed or intoxication played a factor.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
