One Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Shaver Street

SAN JACINTO, CA (July 2nd, 2024) – One person died early Thursday morning, in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on San Jacinto Avenue and Shaver Street. Dispatchers responded to the scene at approximately 3:00 a.m.

Emergency crews report that a vehicle hit a pedestrian while traveling at an unspecified speed. After the collision, the driver fled the scene without offering assistance or contacting authorities. Police officers found the victim lying in the middle of the roadway.
 
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The identity of the deceased victim has not been disclosed to the public at this time.
 
Following initial investigations, police identified and apprehended the suspect. However, booking information has not been released.
 
San Jacinto Officials are urging anyone who witnessed the fatal pedestrian collision on San Jacinto Avenue to contact their offices.
